Dance is at the heart of Rose City Arts Academy. We offer everything from first-time recreational classes to elite, auditioned competition teams — with training in contemporary, jazz, lyrical, technique, turns, leaps, and acro. Across every style, we focus on foundational skills, alignment, strength, and the pure joy of moving.

Technique Classes
Join our technique dance classes designed to elevate your skills and enhance your performance. These classes focus on precision, strength, and flexibility, ensuring that all dancers can refine their technique and master intricate movements. These classes are for anyone looking to take their dancing to the next level and build a solid foundation for their artistry. Don't miss out on this opportunity to shine! It is highly recommended that all Elite Team Members take a technique class.

Acro/Dance Tricks Classes
Join our exciting class designed specifically for teaching acro and dance tricks! Whether you’re a beginner or looking to enhance your skills, our expert instructors will guide through a variety of dynamic moves and techniques. Experience the thrill of mastering flips, balances, and stunning choreography in a supportive environment. Sign up today and elevate your dance journey!

Combo Classes ​
Both Kid Combo and Adult Combo Classes are non-competitive classes offered from September through April. These classes are designed for students to explore multiple genres of dance including tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, musical theater, lyrical, acro, ballroom, modern and more during the eight-month class.

Combo Classes are free-dress and will require dancers to have appropriate tap shoes as well as jazz shoes.

Elite Competition Dance Teams
(audition required)
Our competition dance teams are auditioned teams. We begin training in August and end the following May. Dancers develop exceptional strength and coordination while mastering routines.
Facing professional judges teaches resilience and personal growth, while building lifelong poise and self-confidence.Team commitment fosters accountability, dedication, ultimate teamwork and tight-knit friendships.

Rose City Arts Academy Elite Teams will compete in a minimum of 1 competition and up to 3 competitions during the season, depending on the age and availability of the team members. Some soloists, duets and/or trios may choose to compete more often.​

Community Performances
In addition to our classes and teams, we participate in community performances that showcase the incredible talents of our students. These events not only highlight our students’ hard work but also foster a sense of community and support for the arts in our area.

April 11, 2026: Rose City Arts Academy was invited to participate in the East Texas Music Teachers Association, Helen Elbert Music and Fine Arts Festival at the Rogers Palmer Performing Arts Center at Tyler Junior College.
